Saw Lin Aung

Artist Statement
In these works, Saw Lin Aung conveys the tranquility of a life lived on the water. He says: “I love to paint water; clean water gives us a feeling of freshness. The reflection of objects and clouds in the water inspire me deeply, so most of my paintings are concerned with calm water that reflects whatever is around and above it.”

“The colors in my paintings are a combination of hues from nature and from my imagination. Among all colors, I like blue the best. My preferred style is realism – the accurate depiction of nature combined with lively, saturated colors, puts the viewer into a state of deep concentration I believe.”
