Artist Chuu Wai Nyein’s 4th solo exhibition was held from March 30 to April 8 at the Gallery 65. Named ‘One Ten Hundreds’, it explored the issue of women identity and the difficulties of being a modern women in a conservative and traditionalist society.
The “one” stands for the struggle for gender equality. The “Ten” for the ten years of women depiction and “Hundreds” for the hundreds of unknown damsels who used to serve during the Yadanarpon era and who will be at the heart of the new exhibition.
